Our Story
Redbarn Apparel is a men's clothing shop built around one season: the cold half of the year.
It started from a fairly ordinary frustration. Shopping for a winter jacket online means wading through either technical gear built for a mountain you'll never climb, or thin stuff that pills after four washes. The middle — a decent overshirt, an honest wool sweater, a coat that survives a second winter — is somehow the hardest thing to find.
So that's what we set out to gather in one place.
Our Vision
Cold-weather menswear shouldn't be complicated. You should be able to find a jacket you'll wear for years without comparing forty tabs, decoding marketing jargon, or wondering whether the return policy is a trap.
We want Redbarn to be the place you check first in October, and don't need to check anywhere else.
Our Philosophy
We're a retailer, not a manufacturer. What we do is choose.
We're not interested in chasing every trend through the season. We'd rather stock shapes that still look right in three years — flannel, wool, corduroy, waxed cotton, the things that have worked for a century because they work. Some of what we carry is deliberately plain. A good overshirt doesn't need to be interesting.
Style is personal, so we try to carry range rather than a house look. What we're consistent about is telling you exactly what you're buying.
How We Choose
Every product is picked for fit, cut, and whether it earns its place next to what's already on the site.
Each product page tells you how the garment is built, how it's meant to be worn, and how to look after it. There's a size guide with chest measurements in inches for every size we carry, and a fit note that says plainly whether to take your usual size or go up. If we don't know something about an item, we say so instead of guessing — and if a detail matters to you before you order, email us and we'll find out.
Our Values
Clarity over marketing. Plain descriptions of what a garment is and how it's cut, rather than words like premium and luxury.
Wearable over trendy. Pieces that still make sense next winter.
No pressure. No countdown timers, no "only 3 left," no invented sales. If something's on offer, that's the price.
Service that doesn't argue. Things go wrong. What matters is what happens next.
Our Commitment
Here's what we hold ourselves to, in plain numbers:

- Delivery in 6–9 business days total
- Free shipping on every order, no minimum
- 30 days to return, from the day it arrives
- No restocking fee, ever
- Emails answered within 24 hours, Monday to Friday
If a parcel is late, damaged, or never turns up, email us and we'll trace it and either reship or refund. You shouldn't have to chase a carrier yourself.
